Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Chealu. Short, because the service is simple: we help neighbours find each other, and then we get out of the way.
What Chealu is
Chealu is a place to find services and second-hand items near you, and to contact the person offering them. Browsing is open to everyone; an account is needed to publish, to make contact, or to save something.
We are not part of your deal
Chealu is not a party to anything you agree with another person here. We do not handle payment, hold money, arrange delivery, inspect goods, verify workmanship, or guarantee that anyone will turn up.
The agreement is between you and them. Any money moves directly between you, and we cannot recover it.
We do not vet or endorse the people on Chealu. Read the Safety page before meeting anyone.
Your account
You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
One person, one account. Do not impersonate someone else or publish on behalf of a business you do not represent.
What you publish
You are responsible for your listings being accurate, lawful, and yours to offer. Do not list something you do not have, cannot legally sell, or have described misleadingly.
You keep ownership of your photos and text. You give us permission to show them on Chealu so the service can work, and that permission ends when you remove them.
Your plan sets how many listings you can have active at once and how far a service can travel; those limits are shown to you when they apply.
What you must not list
Anything illegal where you are. Weapons, drugs and prescription medicines, live animals, counterfeit goods, stolen property, and adult services are not permitted.
Regulated trades — gas, electrical, and similar — may only be offered by someone properly qualified and licensed to do that work.
Do not use Chealu to harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone, and do not use it to send bulk or unsolicited messages.
Moderation
We may hide or remove a listing, or suspend an account, when it breaks these terms or the law, or when a report makes that the right thing to do.
A suspended listing stops being visible to other people. We aim to tell you why.
You can report a listing or a person at any time; reports are read by the Chealu team.
Liability
Chealu is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we do not promise any particular outcome from using it.
We are not liable for what another person does or fails to do, including anything that goes wrong in a deal you make through Chealu. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes and ending your account
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect.
You can stop using Chealu whenever you like, and delete your Chealu profile from Settings.
These terms describe how Chealu is built and how it currently behaves. They have not yet been reviewed by a qualified legal adviser, and must be before launch. If anything here conflicts with what the product actually does, the product's behaviour is the error and should be reported.
